What is wobble hypothesis? Explain how a single anti-codon sequence can have several codon sequences.
Wobble hyothesis is based on the base pairing between mRNA and tRNA.The different base pairing in RNA like normally A-U,C-G,G-C pairs with C and uracil is known as wobble base pairing,U-A and guanine similarly inosine base pair with A,C,U.
Now if we have ACI in codon or mRNA then it can base pair with tRNA like UGA,UGC,UGU which will code for different amino acids
For example we have glycine-tRNA with anticodon ICC will pair with glycine codons GGU, GGC, GGA and GGG,With wobble hypothesis we were able to mark the redundancy in the genetic code.
