1) Chlorophyll is the pigment found in the leaf which is the most important pigment for photosynthesis. With this pigment, plants conduct photosynthesis in green light.

2) Leaves are colored due to the pigments present in it. Chlorophyll, a pigment present in leaves, gives it a green color. It is important to produce food using sunlight. During spring and summer when there is plenty of sunlight, plants make a lot of chlorophyll.

The change in colors in leaves are caused by changes in the pigments. When the weather changes, some plants break down all the green pigment. This lets beautiful yellows, oranges, and reds come through in the fall.

3) The quality of the fall foliage depends on weather, temperature and precipitation.
