1. Male calico and male tortoiseshell are abnormal. This is because males have only single copy of X chromosome and therefore can have either orange or black colour as their fur colour.
But if nondisjunction of chromosomes occurs during anaphase 1 of meiosis 1 in the formation of the gametes in a tortoise shell female parent, then it will result in the formation of a male calico.
