West Nile Virus is transmitted by the bite of mosquitos. Here, mosquitos serve as the vectors for this virus. Mosquitos acquire the infected blood from birds, who were already attacked by the virus. Then, this virus can be transmitted through mosquitos to the uninfected birds as well. Not only birds, this virus is known to infect cats and dogs as well via mosquito bite. So, birds, cats and dogs needs to examined properly to detect the infectionby West Nile Virus.
