The pathway of a microbe from a tissue to the circulatory system through the lymphatic system is described below.

The lymphatic system mainly serves as a conduit for the transport of cells takes part in the immune system function. When microbes or pathogens enters, then the other immune elicitors are filtered through the nodes in lymph known as lymphatic fluid. The immune system response is also governed by the dendritic cells in the lymph nodes. The various antigens present in the lymphatic vessels regulated by cytokines which are secreted by various immune cells during inflamation. Then antigen enters the lymph nodes which activates an immune response. Both the circulatory system and lymphatic systems are susceptible to diasease from microbes. The circulatory system (heart, blood vessels) are target of pathogens and main disease caused are endocarditis and myocarditis.
