What is important about Homo Habilis?
Homo habilis, also called handy man is an extinct species of human. They are the most ancient representative of the human genus, that is Homo. Their discovery was a turning point in the science of paleoanthropology. This is because without much fossil and clarity of study the oldest previously known human fossils were Asian specimens of Homo erectus. But as a generation of front years there are many features of H. habilis which appear to be intermediate when it comes to evolutionary development between the primitive Australopithecus and the more-advanced Homo species. All these characteristics of Homo habilis foreshadow the behaviour and anatomy of H. erectus and later the Homo sapiens or humans, making H. habilis extremely important.
