Buspirone have anti-anxiety activity . It stimulate Dopamine and serotonin receptors on nerves and increases the action of GABA mainly GABA A resulting in anti-anxiety and sedative , hypnotic and anticonvulsant . Buspirone has strong affinity for serotobit 5HT1 receptors and acts as a partial agonist whereas weak affinity for 5HT2 receptors and acts as a weak antagonist on D2 receptors.
