You produced a new drug and named it ArfF in and the lab and you want to test if ArfF would have the same effect on cels as growth factors. State your hypothesis. How would you test this hypothesis? # Growth Factor is a substance which usually stimulates the cell division and cell growth. These are important substances which regulate the cell cycle. If our compound ArfF works like a growth factor, this should induce the cell proliferation. Cell proliferation is completely under the control of cyclin protein. Therefore, our compound ArfF should induces the production cyclin protein.

Cyclin D is a member of cyclin protein which involves in the regulation of cell cycle. This induces the progression of cell cycle. Production of cyclin D at G1 phase will drive the cell to S phase. By analysing the production of cyclin D we can come to know the effect of our compound.
