Why is a sexual life cycle preferred by the majority of species on the planet?

Upon sexual reproduction or sexual life cycle, genetic diversity increases which gives better survival adaptation to the extreme conditions or selection process than asexual mode of reproduction

Asexual mode of reproduction results in same genetic make up of offsprings which might get reomved by natural selection upon selcetion preasure. Sexual life cycle involves mixing of genetic material from male and female results in increased allelic diversity which helps in increased fitness

Since sexual life cycle holds inherent ability of producing genetic variability ,it became most predominant life cycle over evolution
