Explanation:
Citrate malate exchanger has an acetylation site present on it and when aetylation occurs the transport activity of the shuttle is enhanced and with effect to this efflux of citrate in mitochondria occurs in exchange of malate.
Pyruvate and fatty acids , Both of these fuel molecules are transported across the inner mitochondrial membrane and then they are converted to the  acetyl CoA. ,so pyruvate is transported into mitochondria with symport of H+ ions.
