GALT is gut assoiciated lymphoid tissue which protects the gut from antigen or pathogen invasion and is a part of the MALT (mucosa associated lymphoid tissue). Adenoid and lingual tonsil are present in the throat which protects the invasion there. Mesenteric lymph node and peyers patch are also the part of GALT. But popliteal lymph node is present at the popliteal fossa in the leg which are six or seven in number. Hence, popliteal lymph node is not the part of GALT.
