How do bryophytes carry food and water in your body?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Brayophytes unlike the other land plants lacks the vascular tissue like xylem for the transport of the water and food. Therefore the brayophytes gets its water from their leaves.

As the plant do not have roots to absorb therefore the plant's leaves itself comes in contact to water for the absorption of water into the leaves. Also the minerals are directly picked up by the leaves and transported throught the plant.
