The major fluid inlet and outlet from kidney is Renal artery and Renal veins respectively. Rate of fluid flow through Renal artery is 1.2L/ min that is 25% of the cardiac output enters the kidneys through Renal artery. After the process of filtration, reabsorption , secretion urine is produced in the kidneys which leaves the collecting duct of nephron with rate 1.1 mL/ min.
The rate of blood exiting the kidneys via Renal vein is slightly less than 1.2 L/ minutes.
