  1. it possible that one of the following means of transport could be faster than another- facilitated diffusion or non-facilitated diffusion? Explain your response.

  2. Which biomolecules are relevant to function and structure? Use those biomolecules to explain the difference in appearance of the two organisms. Explain your response. Figure A: Figure B:

  3. If the DNA could not code for the ATP synthase in the mitochondria, infer if this would have an impact on the net number of ATP molecules that would result from one molecule of glucose. How many net molecules of ATP would result from this situation and explain your respons

  4. Evidence

  5. Glycolysis yields 2 NADH

Krebs Cycle yields 8 NADH and 2 FADH2

    Each NADH yields 3 ATP

    Each FADH2 yields 2 ATP

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Facilitated diffusion is faster as it is aid by transporter molecules and non-facilitated diffusion just depends on concentration gradient .

All the 4 Biomolecules including Nucleic acids, Proteins, lipids and carbohydrates are important for both structure and function.

In Prokaryotes , cell membrane is made up of peptidoglycan while in plants it is made up of chitin and in animals it is absent.

If ATP synthase could not be synthesized then no ATP can not be produced from Electron transport chain then only 2 molecule of ATP by glycolysis and 2 molecules of ATP by kreb cycle will be synthesized in total only 4 molecules of ATP will be produced.
