Answer #1

carbohydrate chins are found on the surface of the cell membrane. they are made up of carbohydrates + lipid / protein. this function to find harmful cells. it is important in immunity of the body. blood types are example For how glycolipid mediate cell interactions with surrounding environment. the absence of carbohydrate chain can be fatal . the immunity is highly depend on these molecules. the stability would be lost if chains are absent. this cause slow fatality of the cells and there by the organisms. there will be no proper contact with the mediating environment. this cause more prone to diseases.
