Describe the Stanley Miller experiment as it relates to Oparin's theory on life's origin. What was the result of the experiment?
Oparin theory suggests that life originates from biomolecules that joined together to form organic molecules that all life is made up of.
Stanly does the experiment to prove this theory by making the same conditions present in the early earth environment. He stated that at early earth, gases like CH4, NH3 were predominant. There was high water vapour concentration and H2 molecules. In early there was frequent lightning. So he formed all these conditions in the laboratory, in which he put H2, NH3, CH4, and water vapors. Then lightning was passed on through the vessel in which all these were kept and biomolecules were produced.
The result of this experiment was that amino acids were produced from this experiment which proved the Oparin theory of life's origin.
