Answer #1

Option 1 is correct answer. Phenazopyridine or pyridium is the drug of analgesis category which is used to relieve pain in lower part of urinary tract (bladder and urethra). It is used to treat pain, burning, increased urination, and increased urge to urinate caused by infection or after using catheter. This drug is not used to treat the original infection rather it only gives the symptomatic releif. It most likely darken the color of urine to an orange or red color.

Although aption 3rd is also correct statement about this drug but this is the primary use of this drug. Here RN (registered nurse) is not supposed to teach the primary used rather they will teach about the effects other than primary use and which may give panicness to the patients.
