It is a cycle. In plants the input for carrying out photosynthesis is C02+H20+ sunlight and using these as raw material plants synthesize glucose and oxygen as a product of photosynthesis. During photosynthesis the energy is utilized to produce glucose molecules and release oxygen into the environment. Whereas in cellular respiration the end product of photosynthesis which is glucose and oxygen are utilized and metabolized to make ATP and energy. The cellular respiration takes place in the mitochondria and the output of cellular respiration is ATP (energy)+water+CO2.
The chemical reaction involved:
Photosynthesis reaction:- Takes place in chloroplasts
Cellular respiration:- Reaction takes place in mitochondria
