Turner's syndrome

It is a condition affecting females, occurs due to loss of one X chromosome (sex chromosomes).

People with Turner's Syndrome usually have 45 chromosomes.

It results in a variety of complications like short height, failure to develop ovaries and heart defects.

This syndrome does not lead to mental retardation or decreased intelligence.

Klinefelter syndrome

It is a genetic defect an extra X chromosome in boys.

Instead of typical XY chromosomes in men, XXY chromosomes are found in men.

Total of 47 chromosomes per cell are present in this condition.

Affecting boys/men with learning disabilities, thus causing mild delays in speech, language development and reading problems.
