Answer #1

The first case of the pandemic was reported in Kansas ( United States ) on March 11 - 1918. It is still unsure where the flu actully originated from. Movement of soldiers after the world war I ended, led to the sprad of the disease. Malnourishment, overcrowded medical camps and hospitals, and poor hygiene promoted bacterial superinfection.

Most infected were young adults because it triggered a cytokine storm, which ravages the stronger immune system of young adults.
