The fish, penguin and dolphin have fusiform shape because of their similar environmental challenges.

This shape is evolved due to the convergent evolution of these three unrelated groups of animals. The convergence occurs because of the natural selection.

They follows the law of hydrodynamics which constrain the shapes that are possible for aquatic organisms which can be swim very fast.

The fusiform shape of such animals minimizes the drag in water while swimming.

Thus, due to these reasons, fish, penguin and dolphin have the same fusiform shape.
