Homework Answers

Answer #1

Ans . The following contain individuals that are pathogenic to humans :-

1) non living things

2) single-cell eukaryotes

3) Prokaryotes

4) bacteria

5) multicellular eukaryotes

Non living pathogens include viruses and prions.

Viruses can infect all kind of living cells, including bacteria, and almost all viruses are pathogenic.

Unicellular eukaryotic pathogens are mainly belongs to protozoa, fungi and algae. e.g. Entamoeba histolytica.

Despite the ubiquity and close association of Archea with humans, animals and plants, no pathogenic archea have been identified.

With regard to chromosomes, which of the following statements is False? None of the given answers are correct. Eukaryotic organisms usually have a number of chromosomes that is species-specific. Bacteria almost always have multiple copies of a specific gene on their chromosome. Prokaryotic cells usually contain a single chromosome. In eukaryotes, chromosomes often come in pairs, with members of a chromosome pair carrying the same genes.
