Glycolysis is the process which happens during feasting state.It is the basic process in which we derive enery from the food we eat.Here the glucose molecules that we get from our food are converted into pyruvic acid in the cytosol to derive enery for the normal cellular processes to take place.

Glycogenolysis is the process which happens during resting state or between meals or when we dont take food where the stored glucose in the form of glycogen is converted back into glucose.This process takes place in the liver.

Gluconeogenesis is the process which happens durng fasting state where glucose is usually produced from non-carbohydrate sources like amino acids and lactic acids.This happens in kidney and liver.This usually happens when we starve for a long time or eat food less in carbohydarates..
