Explain the concept of the synthesis of the leading and lagging strands and their movement in relation to the fork. How are both strands synthesized at the same time if they are said to move “in different directions” ( think about how the complexes are held)
DNA polymerase do polymerization of tamplate of DNA from 5' end of primer leaving last 3' end free but point here is that how DNA polymerase as single complex generate leading and lagging strad simultaneusly as DNA synthesis occures at 5' end only and that is of leading strand. here it has been proposed that the open frame of DNA of lagging strand makes a turn and enters the DNA polymerase complex presenting 5' end for polymerization for oligonucleotides only. frame reopens and small portion is polymerized again and so on. see the figure below
