• Of the two types of rainforests available - tropical rainforests are found nearer to the equator and are warm while the temperate rainforest is cooler.
• These forests are rich in a wide variety of trees and been provides habitat to the wild.
• Most of the trees found here has got canopy.
• They forms natural and even the only habitat for many endangered flora and fauna.
• These forests also helped in reducing the carbondioxide gas concentration within the atmosphere to a greater extend.
• Thhey also plays an immense role in reducing the global warming effects.
• Thus these forests are really helpful in maintaining the climatic conditions of our environment.
• These forests have also provided the peoples their needs for day to day activities.
• Like they provided food, honey and various other needed natural products.
• These forests to an extend also helped in maintaining the water cycle, thus reducing the incidence of droughts.
