The ground water pollution with pesticides can result in several diseases caused bu heavy metals like excess of nitrates can cause blue baby syndrome (methaemoglobnemia) affecting children’s hemoglobin. Excess of mercury can cause minamata disease, cadmium can cause itai itai disease, excess of arsenic can cause liver damage etc. So in order prevent the damage the mitigation measures must bre taken gor the welfare of population.
