Describe the relationship between antidiuretic hormone and aquaporin-2 channels in reabsorption of water by the kidney.
ADH: Anti diuretic hormone is responsible for absorption of water from the kidney. When the body water level goes below the normal level.
When ever the body lack of water the increased plasma concentration level stimulates the hypothalamus. The hypothalamus stimulates the pituitary gland to release ADH which travels through the blood and reaches the kidney which further causes water reabsorption through the water channels the AQP2(aquaporin 2).
The reabsorbe water is transported to the blood and plasma again by the AQP-3(aquaporin-3) water channel.
