Nitrogen is present in trace amounts in the atmosphere. |

Nitrogen is a required component for ATP synthesis. |
||
Plants will carry out Nitrogen Fixation to provide nitrogen to bacteria living in association with the plant roots. |
Answer:
Nitrogen fixation converts atmospheric nitrogen into proteins
Nitrogen fixation takes elemental Nitrogen (N2) from atmosphere and convert it to Ammonia (NH3). The nitrogen in this form can be utilized by other biological organisms; which use it to make amino acids and proteins.
Nitrogen is the most abundant element in the atmosphere. Only nitrogen fixing bacteria and NOT all bacteria can fix nitrogen. In leguminous plants, it is bacteria that fix N2 for plant and not the other way round. Bacteria can not get nitrogen by fixing CO2 and nitrogen is not required for ATP synthesis. Hence rest of the options are untrue.
