Answer #1

Being on a survival reality show, conditions will arrive when food will not be available for a long time but individual need to survive the condition. This condition where intake food can't be used as a source of energy, body let go protein and fat reserves of it. Proteins are made up of amino acids which can be grouped as either glucogenic(can be converted to glucose) or ketogenic( get converted to ketone bodie) while some amino acids has both abilities. So, in case of food scarcity body protein start converting in glucose or ketone bodies for production of energy for body and keeping body condition stable.
