why are T7 polymerase used in bactreia transformation

Homework Answers

Answer #1

To enhance the production of proteins , T7 polymerase is used in bacterial transformation.

The T7 RNA polymerase system is extremely effective, resulting in very high levels of target protein production, and the controllable promoters allow even the cloning and expression of genes encoding highly toxic proteins in E. coli

And optimal protein overproduction was obtained reproducibly from T7 promoters using freshly transformed cells that had not been subjected to outgrowth during which mutations could accumulate.
