Acute inflammation release chemicals from white blood cells to protect against foreign substance which can cause infection. This enhance blood flow which results as redness and wamth at the inflected area. They release some mediator bradykini and histamine, so that more blood can reach at the inflected area or tissue. Also they sent a signal to the brain for protective function. More fluid is released from the mucus membrane during inflammation which helps to flight against infection.
