what evolutionary mechanism is a rhizobia attaching to a plant and why ?
Rhizobia are commonly known as nitrogen fixing bacteria, they have the capacity of fixing atmospheric nitrogen. They live in root of legumes, in this relationship both will get benefit, that is legumes cannot take atmospheric nitrogrn directly, this bacterial take the atmospheric nitrogen and alter it into ammonia, it is used by the plant, whereas the rhizobia can live in this plant's root and also takes carbon and other energy products from plants for their survival.
