Homework Answers

Answer #1

Total population of Nigeria(N) = 200,946,000

Natality rate = 38 per 1000

Total births in year 2019 =(200946000/1000)*38

= 7,635,948

Mortality rate = 12 per 1000

Total deaths in 2019 = (200946000/1000)*12

= 2,411,352

Total population after births, deaths and emigration is:-

Number of births(B) = 7,635,948

Number of deaths(D) = 2,411,352

Number of emigrants(E) = 60,000

Total population = (N + B - D - E)

=200,946,000+7,635,948-2,411,352-60000

=206,110,596

From the original populations the new births are added to the population and deaths are reduced. Emmigrants leave the population hence they are also subtracted from original population.

Thank you. Please do provide a Thumbs up.
