Sheep brain is similar to human except for small sized cerebrum and proportion as it is more horizontal while human brain is more vertical orientation .Cerebrum composed of gray matter (at the outer edge of the cerebral cortex cross-section) and the white matter (the interior portions of the cerebrum.)

Darker gray matter are present in areas of brain ( cerebral cortex) and spinal cord( inner area) , which is grey in colour due to presence of components like :

  • Neuronal cell bodies and Glia.
  • Dendrites
  • Unmyelinated axons.
