Ans. 1- By the putting Iodine (Iodine test).

Iodine turns blue black in presence of starch, thus we can check presence of starch.

Take the sample, to be tested, then put iodine on it, wait for 30 sec.

It will turn blue black of starch is present, if no change in colour then no starch.
