A change in a population gene pool that makes the population less suited to its environment

A. will be selected against

B. Can never happen

C. is called a "reverse" adaptation

D. is a trait that will help the population survive when the environment changes

Answer #1

Answer: A. Will be selected against.

According to Darwin in natural selection, the evolution of the population happens in a way that it adapts easily in a particular environment. If there is a population with traits that are less suited traits then they won't survive or if there is a smaller portion of the population has a more suitable trait so those traits will flourish and their frequency will increase as the generations pass as a result, the majority population will have that more suitable trait.
