2. The length of the root hair varies along the length of the root. Their diameter varies between 14-18 micrometers and length varies between 80- 1500 micrometers. They are generally found in the zone of maturation and longer root hair is found near the soil surface and smaller root hair is found near the zone of elongation.

3. The root hairs are mostly present in the zone of maturation and the root hair is present near the zone of elongation are comparatively younger and when root grows the root hairs are sheared off in elongation zone as it moves through the soil.
