All mammals have oxygen sensing system to directly monitor the oxygen availability and energy sensing system which indirectly monitors the carbon source supply. Considering the important role of nitrogen element in biological system, one can assume the existence of a nitrogen-sensing system as well. If you agree, discuss what this system might be. If you do not agree, write down your reasoning and argument. Either way you choose, please cite relevant reference to support your argument.

Answer #1

Nitrogen is one of the major element in the body. Which helps in production of proteins from amino acids which help in the biological functions.

Nitrogen cannot be sensed by the system some of the animals take nitrogen from the outside through food. Where they cannot directly take the atmospheric nitorgen from air like oxygen so nitrogen is taken with the help of a cycle that is nitrogen cycle .where nitrogen cycle undergo asslimilation, nitrification and ammonium fixation in the soil enters into plants directly eaten by the animal.

Where as the oxygen sensing is a process where the body that is blood senses the level of oxygen, and maintain by taking atmospheric oxygen from air and exhale carbondioxide.By a process respiration a particular system. Here in nitrogen there is no such kind of sensing system they enter through diet .
