he oxygen generated in photosynthesis actually came from (not carbon dioxide).
Can someone else add to this answer by telling us what happens to the carbon dioxide in photosynthesis?
So which of the products does carbon dioxide turn into: oxygen or carbohydrates?
Ans) The oxygen during photosynthesis comes from the split water molecules. During the process of photosynthesis, the plant absorbs water and CO2 and after this absorption the water molecules are broken and converted in sugar and oxygen.
Carbon dioxide enters the leaves of the plants through stomata after which the process of photosynthesis initiates. Photosynthesis separates CO2 and water, which were previously combined in the beginning of the process for miscellaneous reasons, which form individual carbon dioxide and water molecules and these molecules combine to form new products.
The answer is carbohydrates. CO2 is converted into sugar via carbon fixation and photosynthesis captures energy from sunlight to convert carbon dioxide into carbohydrates.
