Paracrine growth factors differ from hormones in their long-range of action. true or not

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Paracrine signaling act between cell to cell thats are close together. Signaling molecules known as paracrine factors secrete from one cell, travel short distance and become attached to the receptors on near by cells.

But in endocrine hormonal signaling, singal molecules released from a cell and travel to a long distance to the target cell through the blood circulatory system.

So the Paracrine growth factors differ from hormones in their long-range of action, it is true.
