What happens if an embryo does not inherit an X chromosomes?
What is nondisjunction, and how does it relate to meiosis and chromosomal abnormalities?
Be it male or female each organism would have atleast one X chromosome. If an embryo doesn't have X chromosome then the sex of that embryo is not identified
Nondusjunction is a process when the chromosomes that had synaped do not separate properly due to inaccurate spindle formation. This take places in the anaphase of meiosis. If one of the two chromosomes is abnormal then they won't synapse properly which would lead to abnormal spindle attachment and finally abnormal separation leading to nondisjunction
