Sex linked inheritance -

Those genes are carried by either sex chromosome is known as sex linked genes. The X and Y chromosome carry gene in addition t also determine male and female characters. Man normally have X and Y chromosome and female have both X chromosome. Hence only male inheriteed Y chromosome into the next generation.

Iinked gene inheritance-

1.The genes are inherited together because they are present close to one another on same chromosome.

2. They are dominant and simulatanously trascribed. Linked genes are inherited during the process of meiosis in reproduction.

3.These genes are present near to each other and hence there is less chance of recombination. They are do not follow mendelian inheritance theory.

4.They are closely related to monohybrid cross instead dihybrid that is two genes are inherited. They show vertical pattern  in inheritance that is AB/ab.
