The urogenital sinus is present in the pig but not humans.
Answer : False
Both pig and humans have urogenital sinus in them. The only difference is that, the urogenital sinus is present in the pig throughout their life while it is present in humans only during their embryological development.
In pigs the urethra and the female genital organ fused together forming a long urogenital sinus which is then opens to the external genitalia.
But in humans, the urogenital sinus is found only during their embryological development and helps in the development of urinary and reproductive organs. It is generally degraded after the embryological development of the human embryo except the vestibule which is considered to be the part of external genitalia in human female and consequently the urethra and female genital organ have separate openings in humans.
