lynx - it is used to refer to any of the four different species of cat belonging to the genus Lynx. The term lynx is derived from a Greek word which means brightness, light. The name is apt as the cat belonging to this group have reflective eyes (luminescence). The four species belonging to his genus are -

1. Canada lynx

2.  Iberian lynx

3. Eurasian lynx

4.  Bobcat

Specialist at species level is a term used for those species who have a very narrow range of food type. It could sometimes be just one. Literature survey supports the argument that specialist species are environmentalyy fit in comparison to the generalist species. With this we conclude that, lynx is a specialist.
