Question

Meiosis (in animals) produces ______ haploid from 1 cell.

Meiosis (in animals) produces ______ haploid from 1 cell.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Meiosis is the process of cell division, as it reduces half the number of chromosomes from parents by sexual reproduction. Meiosis produces gametes directly from cells in animals. It produces half the number of chromosomes as in parent cells. From 1 cell, meiosis forms two chromatids joined by centromere at the middle. This is called haploid formation from diploid cells. It occurs by two rounds of cell divisions and final products of meiosis is four daughter cells.
