When interpreting the results of microarrays, the degree of hybridization between a given probe and an organism to be identified is measured by _________.x

Answer #1

The correct answer is analyzing the color intensity of the image ( slide image) produced by scanning with the help of a laser beam.

Microarray is the arrangement involving the use of oligo nucleotide probes that are been closely arranged in a small solid surface. Microarray are applied mainly for the identification of gene expression, genotyping and resequencing. Microarray determines the gene pattern by identifying the active genes in an organism and comparing expression patterns by the identification of mRNA's produced.

In genotyping, microarrays detect Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) and identify the gene which is associated with a disease.

In resequencing, microarrays detect the DNA sequence of a particular virus, bacteria or other organisms. And the sample sequence is compared with a known DNA sequence for the identification of the organisms.

For which angles (given in radians and degrees) is the percent difference between x and sin(x) less than 1.0%? 1 degree or 0.0175 radians 5 degrees or 0.0873 radians 10 degrees or 0.1745 radians 15 degrees or 0.2618 radians None of these have a percent difference less than 1.0% because the angles have to be really small.

Which of the following observations indicates that attractive forces may exist between gas molecules?  X. Doubling the pressure on H2(g) results in halving of its volume.   Y. The measured molar volume of Cl2(g) is < 22.4 L at STP.   Z. When NH3(g) is placed under 10.0 atm pressure at 25 °C, the gas condenses into a liquid.

This is regards to constant evaluation when using differential equations. A solution is given to be: y=(e^2x+e^x ) ln⁡(1+e^(-x) )-(c_1+1) e^x+(c_2-1) e^2x A simplified solution in an answer book is given as: y=(e^2x+e^x ) ln⁡(1+e^(-x) )+(c_1 ) e^x+(c_2 ) e^2x There is a change in sign of c_1 in the third term. C_1 is a constant and not specified to be positive or negative or is it supposed to be positive and that information is simply not specified. I never...
