Why are temperature-sensitive mutations more likely to involve missense over nonsense mutations?
I believe the correct answer to be:
Because missense mutation changes the aminoacid at a specific location after mutation which might be more favourable for the changed temperature but nonsense mutation changes the codon to stop codon which will terminate the translation of protein at that location which might lead to improper protein and hence will end the function of that protein completely.
