• IgA and IgG are the types of antibodies found in respiratory tract.
• Normal respiratory tract produce small quantity of immunoglobin most of are IgG. But they are secreted frequently when the bacterial attack takes place. After bacterial infection of lower respiratory tract, the secretion of antibody IgG show marked increase.
• Function of antibodies in respiratory tract- The main function of IgG is opsonization and activation of complement system which aid the phagocytic cells in clearing invading microorganisms.
• they form front line of defence mechanism.
