B cell immunodeficiencies result in lack of serum antibodies and immunoglobulins. Therefore, passive immunotherapy will help individuals with B cell immunodeficiency in fight against the foreign pathogens.

Vaccines work by stimulating the B cells to produce plasma cells and memory B cells. So, on exposure to the pathogen, the body develops secondary immune response with the help of memory B cells. Therefore, in persons with B cell immunodeficiency vaccines may not be helpful.
