This is an example of polyandry- one of the four mating system. Palyandry is a form of polygamy in which a womn have more than one husband at a time.The female competes for the male and are larger and more colorful while the males are more involved in parental care.This means the more number of mates a female has, the more males she has to care of her offspring. In this way , the females are able to search for good genes in female so that they can increase the survival fitness of her offspring
